An eyelid lift is a common term also used for blepharoplasty. And it refers to a technique that we use to rejuvenate and restore a youthful appearance to the eyes, particularly the upper eyelid, or the lower eyelid, or often both at the same time. If you have ever noticed that your upper eyelids are heavy and give you a very tired appearance, even if you have a great night's sleep, then an eyelid lift will definitely be the procedure for you. It will give you a long-term, achievable, natural result.
When you're considering your surgeon for eyelid rejuvenation, I would strongly advise you to find somebody that is board certified, and also has the experience with performing this intricate procedure. Your upper eyelid blepharoplasty will typically take about 30 to 45 minutes. A lower eyelid blepharoplasty can take a little bit longer, sometimes about an hour, maybe an hour and 15 minutes. Most patients report that literally within five, even six days, they're out and about in public and feel comfortable and confident.
